Advanced Radiology Solutions (ARS) has successfully implemented RamSoft’s Stana software at two of their mammography facilities, Advanced Shore Imaging (ASI) in Northfield, N.J., and CliniSanitas in Doral, Fla. Both sites passed near back-to-back Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) audits with flying colors.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said mammograms are still the best tool for breast cancer screening in a public service page it created on its website in October. The FDA said it certifies facilities that perform mammography and it reviews and approves new mammography devices to help keep patients safe.

While radiography remains the gold standard in pediatric imaging, it is rife with opportunities for error because cooperation and positioning are often challenging for such patients. In response, a group of pediatric radiologists practicing in Seattle published a paper that outlines pitfalls in pediatric chest radiography while offering tips and tricks for avoiding potential errors.
