May 4, 2012 — Ziehm Imaging has been involved in mobile X-ray-based imaging for 40 years and is a major player in mobile C-arms. Since the company was founded in 1972, more than 10,000 Ziehm imaging C-arms have been installed in hospitals and medical facilities around the globe. As part of its global "40 Years of Innovation" campaign, Ziehm Imaging is seeking to convey its mobile C-arm expertise to its target groups.
As surgical procedures become increasingly complex and more reliable, high-resolution intraoperative imaging is required. This is especially true in cardiovascular surgery, endovascular repairs and peripheral vascular interventions. While the best imaging quality is offered by fixed angiography imaging systems, mobile C-arm image quality is rapidly catching up.

October 18, 2011 — For the first time, Ziehm Imaging offers its Ziehm Vision R mobile C-arm with a powerful 20 kilowatt (kW) generator. The compact monoblock generator triples the performance of the predecessor model and can be used for unlimited fluoroscopy time in the operating room (OR), as it is water-cooled.
September 28, 2011 –Ziehm Imaging said its holding company Aton GmbH acquired 100 percent of the United States-based mini C-arm specialist OrthoScan Inc.
September 13, 2011 — Ziehm Imaging is showcasing the next generation of its mobile C-arm, Ziehm Vision RFD, at the 2011 Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) congress. The event is Europe's largest annual session on interventional radiology. More than 6,500 doctors are expected to attend the event in Munich from Sept. 10-14.
July 20, 2011 — Ziehm Imaging reports a huge increase in demand for its training programs. In 2010 alone, the number of participants doubled for technical courses given by the mobile C-arm manufacturer.

Users can bundle the Ziehm Vision RFD with the SmartVascular software for vascular surgery.
