August 10, 2016 — Accuray Inc. announced that it has CE marked its Radixact Treatment Delivery System, Accuray Precision Treatment Planning System and iDMS Data Management System. The next-generation hardware and software solutions, together, make up the new Radixact radiation therapy platform, which represents a major step forward in the evolution of Accuray's existing TomoTherapy System in treatment speed and ease of use.

Carestream Health announced that it has produced more than 1 billion square meters of its DryView Laser Imaging Film and other specialty films at its White City, Ore., facility — enough film to circle the Earth 70 times.

August 10, 2016 — Mobius Medical Systems highlighting even greater integration of its solutions at the 2016 AAPM meeting. Mobius3D version 2.0.1 includes new integration of the company’s DoseLab machine QA software. Clinicians now have the ability to view all of their patient QA and machine QA data in the same user friendly Web interface. Version 2.0.1 also showcases the clinically released cone-beam CT (CBCT) module, the first of its kind online tool for patient positioning QA and patient anatomy verification.

August 10, 2016 — International medical imaging IT company Sectra announced it has been awarded a group purchasing agreement for dose tracking with Premier Inc. Effective July 2016, the new agreement allows Premier members, at their discretion, to take advantage of special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by Premier for dose monitoring software.

August 10, 2016 — Agfa HealthCare recently announced that University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care (UMass Memorial) will implement a comprehensive suite of software solutions on their Enterprise Imaging platform.

August 10, 2016 — Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and UC Health are celebrating the grand opening of the new Proton Therapy Center. Located at Cincinnati Children's Liberty Campus, the $120 million facility is one of the most advanced proton research and cancer treatment centers in the world. The first patients are expected to be treated in September.
