Infervision announced their InferTEST program at the recent Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference, June 26-28 in Denver. InferTEST provides a gratis, no-commitment  method for hospitals and radiology groups to see how artificial intelligence (AI) works and what value such tools can add to their practices and patients.

This 360 degree photo shows a basic, point-of-care cardiac echocardiogram being performed using a smartphone turned into an ultrasound platform using an app and the Butterfly iQ transducer. The system allows inexpensive access to an easy-to-use ultrasound system to better triage patients and determine if more advanced imaging exams or emergency procedures are required. The system has apps for more than 20 types of ultrasound exams, including lung, heart, liver, vascular, MSK and abdominal.

This is a 360 degree view of a live cardiac echo demonstration for the Siemens Healthineers Acuson SC2000 cardiovascular ultrasound system at the 2019 American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) meeting. The system is Siemens' flagship echocardiography system and the main focus of demos at ASE were on its advanced assessment capabilities for valves and structural heart evaluations. 

Aktina Medical announced that Elekta Instrument AB, based in Sweden, will offer and distribute the Aktina line of patented SRS Cones globally for use in cancer treatments and other appropriate radiation therapies.

Imaging Biometrics LLC (IB) a subsidiary of IQ-AI Ltd., is highlighting a recently published study in the American Journal of Neuroradiology1 confirming the value of IB’s dT1 maps in streamlining routine radiology workflows and multi-center clinical trials.

Medic Vision Imaging Solutions announced that its 3-D iterative image reconstruction technology for shortening magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, iQMR, has  been cleared by the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). The software will be distributed in Japan by Nagase & Co. Ltd.

Hyland Healthcare is launching ImageNext, a vendor-neutral imaging workflow optimizer that combines intelligent imaging workflow orchestration with an integrated, universal patient worklist. The solution connects to virtually any universal viewer, picture archiving and communication system (PACS) or vendor neutral archive (VNA); this allows users to intelligently route, sort and distribute imaging studies based on customer preferences such as physician location, schedule and subspecialty.
