April 15, 2009 - SNM is making history by becoming the first medical association in America to launch a “virtual march” on Capitol Hill to raise awareness among policymakers about the benefits of molecular imaging with the goal of ensuring that patients have access to medical imaging such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
It takes three steps to join the march:
1. Go to www.MIMarchforHealth.org.
2. Create an avatar or “virtual you” that will represent you on the National Mall and on a map of the U.S.
3. Submit a letter to your senators and representative in Congress.
After you have sent your letter, you can click on maps of Capitol Hill and the U.S. to see your avatar, as well as others who are marching.
The virtual march is a way for all supporters from the molecular imaging community to come together and speak with one powerful voice. SNM is inviting participants to spread the word about this advocacy initiative by e-mail or from www.MIMarchforHealth.org via links to Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles.
