November 7, 2011 — Sectra Breast Imaging PACS (picture archiving and communication system) streamlines workflows of high-volume mammography screening and advanced diagnostic breast imaging procedures. It features true multimodality capabilities and now supports display and review of breast tomosynthesis images.
Sectra also expands its women’s health offering with Sectra OneScreen, an online solution to identify patients in the risk group for osteoporosis. With a single, standard X-ray image of the hand, the woman’s bone mineral density (BMD), or bone health, is estimated using the Sectra patented digital X-ray radiogrammetry (DXR) technology. The image is taken at the same time as breast images, using the same radiology equipment.
