The new Rollux D analog/digital motorized viewer provides an ergonomic system for interpreting digital images simultaneously with analog films.
This transitional tool combines both formats in a single plane to enhance workflow. The Rollux D accommodates any digital LCD monitor with up to 200 cases of prior film comparisons directly above.
It can be used initially as a film-only viewer with monitors added after going digital. The Rollux's auto-masking software memorizes the shutter position on each frame reportedly to minimize backlight to the monitors. The viewer's lights automatically dim, the belt advances, while the shutters mask to the new frame's film configuration with each case.
