December 30, 2014 — QualiTest Group has developed an innovative methodology for Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) testing.
In recent years, PACS have become increasingly complex, while healthcare providers are increasingly dependent on their reliability and scalability. While features are fairly easy to verify, scalability is challenging to test for many reasons.
QualiTest has developed a Virtual Radiology Environment Data System (VRE) that facilitates efficient and realistic testing of radiology systems. VRE simulates all data flows into and out of a PACS and allows for the simple, single execution of point-to-point tests, as well as full IHE profiles. QualiTest’s VRE test accelerator possesses a DICOM image repository that allows for the safe anonymous storage of real world data, provided by multiple vendors and multiple modalities, and searchable by any DICOM attribute. QualiTest’s testing services leverage the VRE solution to verify accuracy, scalability and communication between all system components.
QualiTest presented its VRE solution at RSNA 2014.
