IDS7
May 27, 2010 - Finding ways to streamline the radiologists' workflow is critical today as reimbursement cuts for imaging studies force radiologists to read a greater number of exams.
New features in picture archive and communication systems (PACS) are designed to speed workflow with features, such as high-performance image compression. Sectra's latest PACS, IDS7, provides compression engineered to progressively transfer image data over low-bandwidth networks, and enable 3-D manipulation before all data has been loaded to benefit remote reading situations.
This PACS' database architecture treats image data as multidimensional volumes, which helps speed the retrieval, display and comparison of large data sets. Additionally, enhancements to worklist management, hanging protocols and overall navigation of patient information reduce clicks and increase productivity.
At the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine’s (SIIM) annual meeting held June 3-6 in Minneapolis, Sectra will highlight IDS7 in booth 611.
