November 11, 2011 – Intelerad Medical Systems will unveil all-new collaboration and personalization capabilities in IntelePACS 4.4 at the RSNA annual meeting, Nov. 27-Dec. 2 in Chicago. The new features, which will be showcased for the first time at the conference, include multi-level critical alerts, radiologist chat features, powerful navigation and layout tools and voice-activated commands.

Enhancing IntelePACS’ secure remote collaboration and consultation capabilities, the InteleViewer module features a new instant messaging directory, reflecting a user’s chat status and availability. Messages can be sent to offline recipients or broadcast to multiple recipients, removing communication barriers and increasing physician efficiency. Critical result communications now include multi-level notification alerts with enhanced tracking options.

The IntelePACS Multi-Method Reporting module is a voice recognition and template solution. IntelePACS 4.4 offers the ability to save a draft report, enabling the flexibility to dictate in batches. The new version also boosts reading efficiency, with custom-map speech microphone buttons and a broad selection of voice-activated commands.

InteleViewer showcases powerful new access and navigation tools, such as the new radial menu, significantly increasing productivity. Radiologists can quickly change and step-through display hanging protocols, as well as tailor individual monitor displays, and super stack through an entire exam.

“IntelePACS 4.4 enables new levels of efficiency, productivity, and collaboration,” says Rick Rubin, chief engineering officer at Intelerad. “While many vendors provide a standard set of functionality, Intelerad solutions offer premium features, uniquely integrated with the workflow, allowing radiologists and referring physicians to work more efficiently, both individually and as members of the healthcare team.”
