March 11, 2011 – Infinitt has signed a three-year contract extension to provide picture archiving and communications system (PACS) solutions for The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NUTH). The organization is one of the largest National Health Service (NHS) Trusts in the United Kingdom.

The Freeman Hospital, one of the sites, has earned an international reputation as a pioneer in transplant surgery for both adults and children. Freeman performed the United Kingdom's first successful heart transplant for a child and is currently one of Europe's leading lung transplant centers.

The contract encompasses digital image management and information systems for radiology and other clinical imaging departments, such as cardiology, dental, mammography and radiation oncology.

"In the past, NUTH had experienced difficulty integrating its imaging systems," said Sun Joo Lee, CEO of Infinitt. "During this contract extension period, Infinitt will simplify system management and operation with integrated solutions that span many clinical specialties and departments."
