Medical industry veteran Walt Cebulski died at his home in Foresthill, Calif., on Jan. 24 after a brief fight with cancer. He was 58.
Cebulski served at a number of medical imaging companies, beginning his career in the early 1980s with O'Neill Enterprises in Ann Arbor, Mich. O'Neill Enterprises was one of the first producers of video film formatters used in nuclear medicine.
Cebulski is best known for his leadership of the Auburn division of PACSGEAR from 2010-2014. He became general manager and vice president of video solutions after PACSGEAR acquired the assets of NAI Tech Products in 2010. Cebulski had strong ties to many medical imaging companies, and recently led a pioneering effort to add streaming video to the company's product line, according to longtime colleague Brian J. Cavanaugh.
