October 10, 2014 — Carestream will launch new capabilities for its Vue PACS (picture archive and communication system) platform including its new 64-bit architecture that provides enhanced processing power so radiologists can manage large imaging data sets and use complex analysis and automatic registration features to read 3-D imaging studies. A new voice recognition tool enables radiologists to insert hyperlinks into the final report that can contain key images and quantitative comparisons such as vessel analysis and measurements to aid clinicians in treatment planning. Carestream’s zero-footprint Vue Motion viewer can be embedded into the electronic medical records (EMR) to allow remote physicians to conveniently access 3-D/MPR images, multi-media reports and non-DICOM videos and photos from their mobile devices or workstations.
