100-Micron pixel pitch delivers extraordinary image quality

100-Micron pixel pitch delivers extraordinary image quality

October 19, 2022 —  Carestream Health is expanding its family of DR Detectors with two new 100-micron pixel pitch detectors. The Focus HD 35 and Focus HD 43 offer high resolution and definition for improved image quality—and will be exhibited at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2022 conference.

“Although budgets are tight, hospitals and clinics do not want to compromise on image quality,” said Jill Hamman, Worldwide Marketing Manager, Global X-ray Solutions, at Carestream. “With that in mind, we developed our Focus HD 35/43 detectors to provide optimal image quality at the most efficient total cost.”

The higher resolution Focus HD 35 and Focus HD 43 detectors allow for image magnification for better visibility of small objects and microstructures. The detectors—which utilize a Cesium (CsI) scintillator ideal for dose-sensitive pediatric patients—come in two sizes, 35x43 cm and 43x43 cm. They have earned an IP56 rating for better protection against dust and fluid ingress.

“The 100um specification is becoming the standard for high-quality diagnostic imaging,” Ms. Hamman said.

Carestream Focus HD 35/43 detectors use ImageView Software powered by Eclipse for unrivaled image-processing capabilities. The engine behind the company’s cutting-edge imaging software platform, Eclipse uses proprietary algorithms and artificial intelligence to amplify the value of the entire imaging chain. Carestream’s Imaging and Workflow Intelligence solutions help improve image clarity, optimize dose and increase workflow efficiency.

“Our expanded detector portfolio offers a wider range of options for our customers,” Ms. Hamman said. “If a facility plans to expand in the future, this solution protects their detector investment as the detectors are compatible with a variety of DR systems.”

To see Carestream’s full line of advanced detectors, including the innovative, award-winning Lux 35 Detector, stop by Carestream booth #6750 in North Hall during RSNA 2022.

This product is available in Algeria, Australia, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
