Bycast StorageGrid Multisite aims to set the standard in high-performance storage solutions in response to high-growth expected in fixed content assets, such as medical images from MRI, CT and X-rays.
Bycast's StorageGrid supports non-proprietary hardware, leverages existing network infrastructure for efficient bandwidth utilization and accommodates storage hardware, including tapes. Using the SpeedStorage option, performance can reportedly be enhanced with Automated Resource Management (Bycast iARM), routes requests based on distance, storage utilization, CPU utilization and bandwidth.
