The Amicas Vision Series PACS Version 5.5 introduces major enhancements to the RealTime Worklist, including role-based workflow management. Also included are extended Vision Watch reporting capabilities and new advanced high-availability options.
One example of role-based workflow management is that ED discrepancies can be identified and communicated back to the ED physician quickly. Besides the ED wet read assessment, other exam factors can now be captured and stored with the study, such as teaching file status, image quality assessment and study reservation.
In the latter half of the first quarter of 2008, Amicas will introduce an online order entry program for new or follow-up orders that can be sent to the RIS, eliminating the need to order over the phone or via fax.
