December 8, 2014 — Advanced Data Systems showcased two enhancements for streamlining the management of complex radiology claims in the age of healthcare reform at RSNA 2014.

- The Medics Claims Denial Manager (MCDM) for radiology enables streamlined revision and resubmission of denied claims.

- The Medics ICD-10 Code Converter simplifies ICD-9 and ICD-10 radiology coding.

Both capabilities add new efficiencies to the radiology billing process, and each are accomplished within single windows.

The MCDM displays denied claims in real time along with a detailed explanation for these rejections. Users can immediately make the required revisions and resubmit, capturing needed reimbursement dollars and maximizing revenues.

The Medics ICD-10 Code Converter allows radiology codes to be entered with a single click from a single window for claim submission. It also allows for ICD-10 code selection using a Google-type search capability.  MedicsRIS will continue to support ICD-9 coding for payers that may still require ICD-9 codes after the September 30, 2015 conversion deadline.

MedicsRIS can also be enabled to accommodate the Merge iConnect for electronic delivery of radiology reports directly to referring physicians’ EHRs.
