Cardiology departments have hosted a variety of software solutions in the past to meet varying demands. A recent report from KLAS reveals that the cardiology IT market is moving toward consolidation. December 29 2011 – The Cleveland Clinic recently deployed Agfa HealthCare’s Impax 6.5 solution as the network’s PACS (picture archiving and communication system). The facility installed Impax 6.5, the latest software version, as part of its contract with Agfa.
December 23, 2011 —Agfa HealthCare announced the addition of a meaningful use (MU) dashboard to the IMPAX Business Intelligence solution. The system contributes to demonstrating meaningful use of clinical data through its ability to actively monitor the thresholds outlined in Stage 1. Reports are generated through the IMPAX radiology information system (RIS) solution.
December 22, 2011 — Agfa HealthCare announced the expansion of its digital radiography (DR) portfolio with the addition of the DX-D 100 with wireless detector, a mobile direct digital X-ray unit. Combining full mobility with high-quality image processing, the unit provides improved patient comfort and safety with precision positioning for imaging in mobile environments.
December 19, 2011 – At RSNA 2011, Agfa HealthCare launched its automated DX-D 600 digital radiography (DR) system into the U.S. market. August 19, 2011 — Agfa HealthCare announced it would showcase its direct radiography (DR) solutions at AHRA 2011, the annual meeting for the Association for Medical Imaging Management. The event was held Aug. 14-17, in Grapevine, Texas.
August 18, 2011 – Agfa HealthCare announced that its mobile digital radiography (DR) system, the DX-D 100, is available for delivery in the United States and Canada. This highly maneuverable DR unit combines full mobility with Agfa HealthCare's excellent image processing. The result enables high-quality radiology exams to be efficiently performed in mobile environments, including intensive care units (ICUs), emergency departments, operating rooms or at the bedside.
