September 19, 2017 — Invicro LLC, a provider of imaging services and software for research and drug development, announced the acquisition of U.K.-based Imanova. Invicro and Imanova will merge all activities to establish the world’s largest provider of translational imaging services and analytics from pre-clinical development through to late-phase clinical trials.

ScImage Inc. and Invia Imaging Solutions recently announced formation of a joint partnership at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology’s (ASNC) 22nd Annual Scientific Session, Sept. 14-17 in Kansas City, Mo. ScImage, provider of scalable web-based image and information management systems, has teamed with Invia, a cardiology imaging software solutions provider, to enable users of ScImage’s Picom365 Enterprise PACS (picture archiving and communication system) seamless access to 4DM. Users of Picom365 will now have access to 4DM’s advanced quantification capabilities as part of their on-premises, cloud or hybrid enterprise solution.

September 19, 2017 — Philips announced new OB/GYN innovations at the 27th World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), Sept. 16-19 in Vienna, Austria. New solutions include  aBiometry AssistA.I, TouchVue and Tilt, as well as the eL18-4 transducer available on Philips’ Epiq 7 and 5 and Affiniti 70 ultrasound systems.

Using InteleOne to Enable a Cross-Enterprise Workflow

Mary Washington Hospital and Union Health-Union Hospital will both receive Safety FiRsT grants to implement safety initiatives that will elevate technologist safety in the workplace. Launched in 2015 by the American Society for Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation and Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc., the Safety FiRsT program awards two ASRT members per year a grant of up to $7,000 each to improve radiologic technologist safety in their departments.

September 18, 2017 — Siemens Healthineers announced it will display the new Magnetom Vida 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system at the 2017 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago.

Telemis announced that the Groupement Radiologues Associés (GRA) in Bordeaux, France, chose Telemis's picture archiving and communication system (PACS) to renew its PACS system and implement exchange and sharing of medical images within their offices. GRA also chose EDL's RIS (radiology information system) Xplore Web and Cheops Technology's information technology (IT) infrastructure solutions.
