October 26, 2018 — During a recent users meeting, Varian shared details of its development work on an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven multimodality adaptive radiotherapy treatment suite being designed. The suite will deliver high-quality treatments and incorporates all types of imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT).

October 25, 2018 — Breast imaging research pioneer Etta Pisano, M.D., FACR, has been named chief research officer (CRO) of the American College of Radiology. Pisano is the first woman to hold this ACR position. She previously served as chief science officer (CSO) solely for of the ACR Center for Research and Innovation (CRI).
