RamSoft has teamed up with Availity to bring healthcare providers Patient Access and Patient Authorizations

RamSoft has teamed up with Availity to bring healthcare providers Patient Access and Patient Authorizations, two fully integrated solutions that seamlessly automate authorizations and optimize up-front collections. These tools integrate with RamSoft’s PowerServer RIS/PACS and TELE PLUS to lower administrative overhead, maximize yield, and eliminate manual and redundant processes.

“As we move to value-based care, providers continue to face challenges with efficiencies and reimbursement,” said Russ Thomas, CEO, Availity. “I’m thrilled when we can align our Authorizations and Patient Access solutions with vendors like RamSoft to collaboratively address these challenges head on, and help providers succeed in the changing marketplace landscape.”

"Working with Availity, we will be able to help our customers increase upfront collections from patients and significantly decrease prior authorization costs. This is really a must for our customers to thrive amidst declining reimbursements," said Vijay Ramanathan, CEO, RamSoft Inc.

According to the 2016 CAQH Index study, authorizations are among the least automated transactions in healthcare, with 82 percent processed manually. Automating these manual processes with Availity’s Patient Authorizations reduces costs, decreases denials, and eliminates the need for multiple systems; which increases patient and referring provider satisfaction and streamlines staff workflow.

Patient Access accurately estimates patient responsibility (pre-service) to maximize collections and ensure the best possible patient experience. It enables frontline employees to verify insurance, medical necessity, address, and identity in real-time; process payments; follow customized, online scripting tailored for each healthcare provider and patient type; generate meaningful analytics; and calculate contracts for estimating appropriate charges for deductible, co-pay, and coinsurance.
