PACSgear Image Exchange Facilitates Frictionless Image Sharing

November 20, 2012 – PACSgear announced its PACSgear Image Exchange (PIE), a comprehensive media management solution that facilitates frictionless image sharing between healthcare facilities. PIE includes functionality to import DICOM CDs/DVDs from outlying facilities, reconcile and edit studies with QC tools, burn DICOM CDs/DVDs, and securely upload images to a variety of cloud-based and point-to-point vendors through the Open Image Exchange (OIE) network.

“The PACSgear Image Exchange provides easy-to-use tools that streamline the entire media management lifecycle, including importing, reconciling, editing, burning, and exchanging images,” said Eli Rapaich, PACSgear’s CEO. “It is the best of all possible worlds—a comprehensive solution that includes media management, media creation, and media exchange. Exchanging images should be as easy as PIE,” Rapaich said.
