February 15, 2008 - The 2008 Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) annual conference and exposition is set for May 31 – June 2, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA.
The event is one of the premier conferences for healthcare technology management for biomedical equipment technicians, clinical engineers, biomedical engineers and asset managers. The event includes educational sessions, exhibits, and networking opportunities, and offers an opportunity to gain practical knowledge to help make decisions for purchasing, maintaining, upgrading, or managing medical equipment. Dr. Paul Root Wolpe will be the keynote speaker at the conference. He is the founder of the field of neuroethics and is recognized as an expert on the impact of biotechnology and psychopharmaceuticals on human health and well-being. In addition, he has served as the first chief of bioethics for NASA, has authored more than 100 articles and book chapters, and has earned numerous awards for his achievements.
In his address, Dr. Wolpe will provide “An Amazing Look at Our Future,” taking the audience on a visual journey through the latest scientific developments in medicine and biotechnology, and explain how those advances will revolutionize human life in the coming decades.
