October 22, 2008 - Agfa HealthCare said that Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) of Southwest Florida has chosen its IMPAX Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) for its radiology department.
With this extensive agreement, LMHS will expand its current IMPAX Cardiovascular image and information management solution (CVIS), also from Agfa HealthCare, to facilitate an electronic medical record (EMR) for all patients of the health system. LMHS performs around 680,000 radiology and cardiology exams, combined, per year.
The enterprise PACS solutions planned for LMHS will cover all hospital locations and outpatient centers, including physician offices within the health system. Clinicians from any location will have the ability to view all their patients' images on one review station. Phase one of the installation is scheduled to begin this December.
