January 3, 2011 — With the delivery of new DigitalDiagnost X-ray systems to the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), Philips reached a milestone of shipping 4,000 systems.
The University of Maryland had ordered two more systems for its emergency and main departments. It already owns three systems in its orthopedic department. The medical center provides comprehensive care for the Baltimore community and tertiary care for Maryland and the surrounding region.
The DigitalDiagnost configuration of the 4000th system features a moveable multi-purpose stand with an integrated digital detector (VM) and a height adjustable table (TH), both with integrated digital detector.
