RamSoft's PowerServer RIS/PACS integrates the features typically found in both PACS and RIS into one simple, smart client application running on a single server and database. With all the data in one place and up to date, clinics will never have to worry about data synchronization, HL7 RIS interfaces or RIS/PACS brokers as everything a typical radiology or teleradiology operation needs is built right in. PowerServer RIS/PACS is a completely web-based solution that is licensed under a very competitive unlimited user and workstation model.

Additionally, the PowerServer PACS is a complete web-based image management solution that supports all modalities and provides the stability, performance and security imaging facilities require. With proven architecture and productivity enhancing technologies, it provides an excellent value. PowerServer PACS comes standard with a volume-based license which allows for unlimited users and unlimited workstations. The system is fully customizable or available as a turnkey solution.

New features in PowerServer RIS/PACS 5.0 were introduced at RSNA 2010 to make paperless workflow efficient, regardless of the clinical environment.

One feature is the ability to quickly communicate important patient information to the entire enterprise or to specific members of the workflow that may include remote radiologists, a feature that is only possible on a single platform RIS/PACS. To do this, RamSoft added patient alert popups. These alerts can be set up from the patient demographics screen, and each time the patient record or patient study is opened, all relevant alerts will pop up. There is no limit to the number of alerts than can be assigned to each patient, and they can be set up to open for specific lengths of time or to run indefinitely.

Enhancements were also made to the zero download referring physician portal. An all reports tab was added, so all prior reports are at a physician's fingertips and available the moment the final report is signed.

RamSoft also added business management features. The physician specialty option in the user list allows management to track both referring physicians and reading radiologists by specialty, which is helpful in all aspects of marketing and in identifying ways for providers to grow their business.

Another helpful feature is the addition of self-pay fee schedules. Staff no longer has to search through a list to determine the appropriate price for the patient’s procedure. Managers no longer have to manage extensive Excel sheets that need to be updated and distributed on a regular basis.

Lastly, the newly added block time entry is an intuitive feature that allows management or users that have appropriate rights to block time entry of modalities and multiple facilities for hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly blocking, all from one screen.
