February 8, 2010 - As payers and providers and patients move to improve collaboration, and diagnostic-quality imaging is becoming an important part of that data exchange. To that end, the 2010 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition will host seminars educating providers how to foster these working relationships through information exchanges.
“The Payer Symposium” held on Sunday, February 28, will focus on the importance of increasing collaboration among all healthcare constituents. Sponsored by MEDecision, a provider of collaborative healthcare management solutions, the seminar will demonstrate focus on advancements in health information exchange as a way to streamline the flow on information sharing from provider to payer to patient.
A new solution developed by MEDecision, which it will introduce at HIMSS, is designed to enable the open exchange of clinical information — including diagnostic-quality imaging — among care delivery organizations and patients, regardless of their native technical platform. At the Interoperability Showcase, the company will conduct a presentation called “Real-World Applications of IHE XDS: Scalable and Sustainable HIEs, EHRs and PHRs,” during the Interoperability Showcase on Tuesday, March 2 at 12:15 p.m.
