Intelerad Medical Systems has announced the latest IntelePACS enhancements and new modules it will preview at RSNA 2009.
Intelerad will demonstrate its integrated Mammo Viewer for the first time at RSNA 2009. This Integrated Mammography Viewer includes functionalities such as user specific viewing sequences and an array of tools that meet the needs of radiologists who wish to read from a single, true multi-modality viewer. This eliminates the costs of a dedicated mammography workstation.

Important enhancements to Intelerad’s IntelePACS solution include:
Greater flexibility for radiologists to choose how to report each study (e.g., using digital dictation, VR or self-transcribed reports using templates).
A Master Patient Index capability to facilitate the identification of a given patient’s imaging studies even when stored in disparate PACS systems that use unrelated MRNs.
The Acquisition Traffic Controller console; a tool that facilitates the process of receiving studies from external PACS systems, validating the integrity of the data and assigning studies to specific reading groups or radiologists. Managing these tasks through a single Web-based user-interface achieves greater workflow efficiencies and reduces human error.
New functionality and features within Intelerad’s Reporting Worklist such as being able to sort and filter by assigned priority levels, reading group and patient age, and incorporating the concept of a “due in” time to help radiology practices meet the terms of their service level agreements.
