April 23, 2009 -- INFINITT North America, a technology developer in Web-based RIS, PACS, Cardiology PACS and advanced visualization solutions, has won a multi-year contract to implement an enterprisewide PACS solution at St. Joseph's Healthcare System (SJHS) based in Paterson, NJ.
SJHS offers a full range of diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, performing over 500,000 imaging exams each year in its Paterson, Wayne and Clifton, NJ locations. The healthcare network is best known for St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, a 651-bed academic, tertiary medical center and state designated Trauma Center in Paterson, NJ. In addition, St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ, and St Joseph's Ambulatory Imaging Center in Clifton, NJ, will be included on the PACS network to ensure system-wide access to patient study and image data. Sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, SJHS is the healthcare provider of choice in its region, and continues to fulfill the mission, vision and values set forth by the Sisters of Charity.
"Our selection of INFINITT North America as our strategic PACS partner started with our radiologists identifying the solution as 'one of the best clinical systems that they have ever used,'" said Jim Cavanagh, vice president and CIO for St. Joseph's Healthcare System.
INFINITT will be implementing the blade and server virtualization technologies to optimize uptimes. "Our web-based architecture and viewer functionality made our solution attractive to St. Joseph's Healthcare System in the first place," said David Smarro, CEO of INFINITT North America.
