April 2, 2009 – FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA ranked third overall ranking on the Overall Software Vendor Rankings list, following Epic and 3M in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report.

The KLAS report reflects the summary of healthcare information technology (HIT) software and professional services performance data as reported by physician offices, clinics, IDNs, inpatient facilities and applicable healthcare agencies. In addition to the third place overall ranking, Fujifilm Synapse received the second place ranking in the radiology PACS report (Acute segment) – up one spot from the previous year – and was also ranked in a number of other categories including Ambulatory RIS (Fujifilm Synapse Information System - Empiric) and Cardiology (Fujifilm ProSolv Cardiovascular).

A provider of a totally integrated, Web-based software package for PACS, RIS and cardiovascular imaging systems, Fujifilm will be highlighting its full portfolio of healthcare software solutions at the upcoming HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems Society) meeting being held April 4 – 8, 2009, in Chicago at booth 6823. Enhancements to the company’s RIS product will be featured along with Fujifilm’s ability to support all of its software platforms on a VMware virtualized environment.
