December 4, 2008 - Agfa HealthCare announced at RNSA that Amerinet Inc., a national healthcare group purchasing organization, has signed a new agreement to include Agfa HealthCare's enterprise solution and clinical module to its national portfolio of product and service contracts.

Effective May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2011, this highly competitive contract offers increased savings for Amerinet members on Agfa HealthCare's Enterprise eHealth Solutions, specifically the Enterprise Clinical Portal and IMPAX Clinical Module. These solutions allow healthcare organizations to centralize access to all disparate clinical information in a single sign-on, single view web-based portal application. Agfa HealthCare's Enterprise Clinical Portal demonstrates that it is possible to improve efficiency, interaction, service, communication and information for internal and external healthcare providers, while protecting existing communication and information investments. Agfa's standards-based, scalable solution is available to hospitals, clinics, emergency services, labs, long-term care, and surgical centers.

Agfa's IMPAX Clinical Module (ICM) will also be implemented to enhance Radiology and Radiology Department workflows by providing faster access to a summary-view consolidation of disparate clinical and results information. It provides clinical context by delivering relevant available patient information from hospital data sources and uses a familiar dashboard format.

"With these solutions, Amerinet members can significantly improve clinical information access by bringing together disparate information sources into an easy to use single-sign-on web application. Agfa HealthCare's unique portal technology provides this improvement while building upon existing IT investments." said Randy Walter, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Solutions and Marketing for Amerinet. "This multi-year contract enables Amerinet members to receive a significant discount, supporting our commitment to reducing costs and providing a high quality of customer satisfaction."

Due to its small technology footprint design, the highly scalable Enterprise Clinical Portal (ECP) solution requires minimal infrastructure and personnel investment, whether deployed in a single hospital or a Regional, County, or State Health Information Organization (RHIO). The design also supports multiple data delivery methods, offering fully customizable web, wireless, PDA, tablet, and smartphone technologies. ECP supports multiple portals with its unified data engine.
