September 4, 2008 - Minutes after the industry’s newest PACS blog, called PACS-aholic (PACS-aholic.blogspot.com), went live today, it made home-page news on “Dalai’s PACS Blog,” a favorite blog amongst radiologists and hosted by Sam Friedman, M.D., a radiologist based in South Carolina.
Dr. Friedman noted that, “Being sort of a PACS-aholic myself, I'm looking forward to some great information and entertainment. Good luck, and welcome to the blogosphere, kids!”
Hosted by the notorious PACSman Michael J. Cannavo and Editor of Imaging Technology News Cristen Bolan, every week the PACS-aholics will discuss controversial PACS issues in a point-counterpoint format, which its authors describe as “an intoxicating look at the PACS industry." Some of the upcoming topics will address the need for PACS service, small PACS companies and large vendors, Web-based and Web-enabled PACS, integrating cardiology PACS and much more.
