May 29, 2008 - GE Healthcare IT and Kryptiq, a provider of healthcare information technology solutions, today entered a joint agreement for GE to exclusively distribute Kryptiq’s eScriptMessenger (eSM) in conjunction with GE’s Centricity Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Centricity Practice Solution.

The offering aims to provide an ePrescribing solution for physicians with speed and ease in managing prescription activities. The new offering is expected to improve patient safety and care quality.

Under the joint agreement, GE will also work with Kryptiq to expand current connection capabilities and continue to address upcoming EMR certification and ePrescribing regulatory requirements. Kryptiq’s eScriptMessenger for GE’s Centricity EMR and Centricity Practice Solution will be sold exclusively through GE.

Currently, GE Healthcare IT distributes Kryptiq’s Patient Portal, Secure Messaging and Document Management products as part of the Centricity portfolio.

Centricity EMR is an ambulatory system used on by more than 30,000 clinicians nationwide.

Centricity Practice Solution from GE Healthcare is a completely integrated clinical and financial management solution to help clinicians take care of the patient from the first visit to final reimbursement.
