February 26, 2008 – FUJIFILM featured at HIMSS 2008 its Synapse PACS along with Empiric’s RIS, highlighting that the integration provides a single view and workflow for the clinical information needed by radiologists.
The integration’s key feature is a single user interface, every piece of information captured, including notes and scanned documents captured during the registration process, information from the technologist, and reports, QA notes and other clinical information is all available in one screen. The single interface gives radiologists full access to any portion of the patient history in a mouse click, aiming to save valuable time and improve care.
Other features include Peer Review, two built-in tools, available with one-click access that supports the Peer Review requirements established by the American College of Radiology (ACR). During interpretation, radiologists can report emergent findings, with a single click, reportedly ensuring the information gets delivered where it needs to be, by using the Critical Results Reporting feature.
Using the Efficient Dictation Workflow feature, integrated dictation and transcriptions are provided within a single view, eliminating the need to toggle between multiple screens or multiple monitors or workstations, according to the company.
All users can access any image, including mammograms, directly from the RIS, and with the Single System Sign-on, integrated user authentication and role based privileges are granted at any workstation, designed to save users time.
