Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. announced the availability of its customizable Fuji Computed Radiography (FCR) Mobile digital x-ray package, which can be provided as a complete Fujifilm acquisition-to-archive solution – including Fujifilm’s CR, PACS and managed services – reportedly delivering hospital grade image quality with the flexibility and reliability demanded in a mobile imaging environment.

At the heart of the FCR Mobile package, featured at RSNA 2007, is Fujifilm’s FCR Carbon. The Carbon family of readers take only 2.4 square feet of floor space, making them ideal to site in the tight confines of mobile vehicles, according to the company.

The package also includes a rugged laptop version of the robust Flash IIP technologist’s console that can connect to commercially available wireless broadband routers for the convenience of remote image transfer to PACS. Image availability is reportedly provided in as little as 23 seconds.
