November 8, 2007 - Matrox Graphics Inc. announced that its Matrox Equinox Series graphics extension technology and Onyx Series companion display controller board have been tested and are compatible with the CHILI GmbH CHILI/PACS Web application, reportedly providing doctors, radiologists and OR staff with flexible access to data.

Matrox Equinox Series brings pristine image quality from a single PC computing station to remote displays, allowing hospitals to replicate OR displays and distribute medical information to various locations, with operator access to data, audio/video and imagery. Fiber-optic cable allows each Equinox station to be located up to 250 meters (820 feet) away from the computing station. Matrox Onyx reproduces the Equinox medical display and imaging capabilities onto displays next to the host PC, allowing OR staff to plan and monitor surgeries outside of the OR.
