July 6, 2007 – The Women's Imaging 2008 Conference (formerly Women's Health and Imaging) will focus on contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic methodologies for providing the most advanced healthcare technologies available in women's imaging – a multi-modality program that will appeal to radiologists, gynecologists and radiology technologists as well as other healthcare professionals, February 3-6 in San Antonio, TX.
Imaging of the breast utilizing digital mammography, MR, ultrasound, nuclear medicine as well as new technologies will be covered extensively. Attendees will learn about contemporary management of pelvic pain, gynecological oncology, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease. In addition, attendees will gain the essential knowledge needed to make the transition from a film and paper environment to a digital environment.
The learning environment will feature: didactic lectures, “Ask the Experts” panels and workshops lead by prominent specialists in their fields. Participants will have hands-on opportunities with both ultrasound and MR-guided breast biopsy and multi-modality breast imaging workstations. Side-by-side comparison of the exhibitor's equipment and applications will demonstrate that many workstations appear similar, but their impact on workflow, productivity, ease of use and error reduction may be quite different.
Attendance at the appropriate sessions of this conference will reportedly enable attendees to satisfy FDA, ACR and MSQA triennium requirements for digital mammography, breast MR and general mammography requirements for interpreting physicians and technologists.
