April 11, 2007 – AMICAS, Inc., a developer of radiology and medical image and information management solutions, will provide full product demonstrations of RadStream, a radiology workflow solution set for release later this year, at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) in Miami, FL.
RadStream is a workflow-enhancing software developed at Cincinnati Children's Hospital that decreased the radiology department’s report turnaround times by reportedly almost 50 percent while decreasing radiologist workflow interruptions by 23 percent to save their radiologists roughly 2,000 hours per year.
AMICAS is making the key functionality of RadStream widely available as a commercial product – both as a standalone system capable of running in any RIS/PACS environment, as well as an integrated product imbedded in the AMICAS PACS. The first commercial version integrated with AMICAS Vision Series PACS is slated for release this year.
