Amicas showcased its Vision Reach, a PACS solution that uses the latest Web-based technologies to integrate the radiology report with key images to create a single “multi-media” report for referring physicians, at SIIM 2007 in Providence, RI.
Vision Reach includes a 100 percent Zero Client Application which means no plug-ins, no helper applications and no heavy downloads. It is a password-protected solution with deep access control that reportedly works everywhere. The system also includes a customized Web portal that is designed with the look and feel of an e-mail program. The portal integrates relevant images and reports for viewing on any device which supports standard Web protocols. Patient status is updated in “real-time” giving our referrer instantaneous visibility into where their patient is in the imaging process.
