Vocera Communications’ new voice-activated communications B2000 Badge has wireless support and a new vivid display, and offers a new set of antigerm protective sleeves.
While the colorful sleeves allow departments to distinguish themselves, B2000’s outer surfaces of the badge and the sleeves have been treated with an antimicrobial agent from BioCote, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungus and algae.
The Vocera Communications Badge is a hands-free instant voice communication system that combines WiFi, voice over IP (VoIP), and speech recognition technologies for rapid communication in a lightweight device. The badge will be available for general release in December 2007.
