September 10, 2014 — Vision RT announced that it will use its exhibit at this year’s American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in San Francisco to highlight its cutting-edge optical guidance technology.
At booth 2408 in the exhibition hall, ASTRO attendees will be able to see demonstrations of the full functionality of Vision RT’s AlignRT system, including its frameless SRS module. GateCT and GateRT will also be on display, and technical and clinical support staff will be on hand to answer questions relating to Vision RT’s products.
Vision RT will also host presentations from two clinical experts who will share their experiences on the advanced use of AlignRT in their respective treatment centres. Lesley Jarvis M.D. Ph.D., attending physician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Medical Center, will discuss how users can achieve cardiac sparing and improve setup for breast treatments using AlignRT, based on its clinical use at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon, N.H. Michael Tallhame, MSc, DABR, chief of radiation physics at Centura Health Parker Adventist Hospital in Denver, will discuss the benefits of using AlignRT for intracranial SRS.
In addition to the presentations on the Vision RT booth there will be several oral presentations and poster publications about AlignRT during the meeting.
