July 14, 2008 - Toshiba America Medical Systems won a computed tomography (CT) contract by clients of Broadlane, a supply chain services company serving healthcare providers throughout the U.S., after clients compared the vendor to other CT manufacturers.
Broadlane invites medical imaging vendors to present their technology and service highlights for capital equipment to Broadlane clients and participate in live negotiations over a three-day period. This process, called a “Live Group Buy,” allows clients to determine and weigh the criteria and select the best medical equipment at the best price from several competing vendors.
Toshiba’s image quality, low radiation dose, commitment to education and easy upgrade path were major selling points for Broadlane and helped secure the win.
