Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. showcased the first floor-mounted, multi-axis, bi-plane vascular X-ray system at the Radiological Society of North America’s annual meeting in Chicago this week. The Infinix VFi/BP has a 12- by 16-inch flat-panel detector that allows unprecedented clinician access and anatomical coverage of the patient, the company said.
In combination with an 8- by 8-inch flat-panel detector on a ceiling-suspended omega C-arm, physicians can view high-quality images needed for complex vascular, neuro interventional and general angiographic procedures. Other features of the new system include programmable tableside dose control, a digital processor for rapid image review and a table weight capacity of 484 pounds.
