April 9, 2008 – Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY, purchased IDC’s X2200, X1590 and X1600 direct digital radiography (DR) systems to replace conventional film X-ray equipment in its three radiography rooms, aiming to match the increasing needs of the hospital’s physicians and patients, and looking to provide information at a faster pace.
IDC’s X-Series works to provide users with a cost-effective alternative to cassette based film or computed radiography (CR) systems. According to the Canada-based company, each IDC DR solution is said to provide high resolution radiographic images in the digital format required for current electronic medical record networks, without the use of film, environmentally harmful chemicals, cassettes or expensive imaging plates.
