February 7, 2008 – The Best Practices in Informatics and Simulation Conference will take place March 26-28 at the Crowne Plaza Resort, Hilton Head Island, SC.
Hosted by the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions, this conference focuses on new technologies to support nursing education. The organizers say the event offers a diverse group of presenters to provide innovative, learner-centered approaches and best practices in informatics and simulation.
Speakers include Susan Newbold, Ph.D., RN-BC, Vanderbilt University; Diane Skiba, Ph.D., FAAN, FACMI, University of Colorado, Denver; and James Cimino, M.D., chief of the laboratory for informatics development, National Library of Medicine
The event will introduce new technologies to support nursing education, learner-centered approaches, simulation strategies for nursing education, creative teaching solutions for both classroom and clinical, and allow participants to earn up to 13 hours of continuing nursing education.
