July 9, 2007 - Sony Electronics will unveil a new compact, high-speed 8-by-10 thermal monochrome digital film and paper imager, designed specifically for use with a range of medical diagnostic imaging systems, including ultrasound, mobile c-arm and X-ray, at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) 2007 Annual Meeting & Exposition in Orlando, FL, July 8-12.
The new Sony UP-D74XRD features both DICOM and USB connectivity for use with a PACS network system or for direct connection to a PC.
Compact, high-speed and quiet, the UP-D74XRD imager generates up to 90 high-resolution prints per hour (a 40-second print time) for time-critical medical applications and also offers the option of using economical paper or film media. Front-panel LCD display controls and media loading ensure simple operation, while its lightweight, small design allows for tabletop operation or easy integration into a cart-based mobile system.
