November 20, 2008 - Seno Medical Instruments has signed a licensing agreement in which its opto-acoustic technology will allow VisualSonics to offer cancer researchers a more effective way to look at the organs of small animals for better tracking of experimental cancer treatments.
Seno is developing the technology that combines ultrasound with light to provide clear, high-resolution images to better detect cancer in humans. The agreement with Toronto-based VisualSonics is expected to the be the first of several that will create revenue for Seno while it works toward FDA for approval on its own product line for humans.
