Rotational Core Biopsy System, Treatment System on Display

The Cassi II Rotational Core Biopsy System reportedly is the first large core biopsy device on the market that is fully automated, self contained, hand-held and disposable. No capital equipment is required, saving both the expense and associated set-up time to perform a biopsy procedure.
The Visica Treatment System uses cryoablation as a minimally invasive means to surround and destroy a fibroadenoma in a lethal ball of ice. Throughout the procedure, ultrasound visualization provides accurate guidance, added safety and confirmation that the iceball has fully engulfed the fibroadenoma. This safe and effective procedure can be performed in an office in about 30 minutes, using local anesthesia. This "in- office cryoablation technology" destroys fibroadenomas as an alternative to surgical excision.
