October 31, 2007 - Rcadia Medical Imaging Ltd. announced the first installation of its COR Analyzer at St. James Healthcare in Butte, MT, reportedly allowing the hospital to perform automatic segmentation and tracking of the coronary artery tree for Coronary CT angiogram (CTA) procedures without human intervention.
The COR Analyzer system reportedly detects stenotic lesions in the major coronary arteries and automatically identifies patients without coronary artery disease with a very high negative predictive value. It uses proprietary image processing algorithms to produce a report that assists physicians accurately and quickly in evaluating patients with suspected coronary artery disease.
