October 18, 2011 – Quest International Inc., a global supplier of information technology solutions and imaging display technologies, released the AlphaView AVC4, a color medical diagnostic display for healthcare professionals. The AVC4 is a 30-inch diagonal, 4-megapixel (MP) medical-grade LCD designed for use in applications involving picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and radiology, where a high quality and cost effective digital communications in medicine (DICOM) compliant monitor is ideal.
Combining the features of diagnostic displays, with the advantages of large screen LCDs, the AlphaView AVC4 features many advanced features, including two DVI-D and two DisplayPort inputs, allowing it to drive two-megapixel images simultaneously, without a center bezel.
Featuring maximum luminance of 350 cd/m2 and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, the AVC4 provides outstanding image quality for radiology reading rooms, as well as in high brightness environments such as OR, ER and surgical suites. The AVC4's ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display's brightness based on lighting conditions.
The AVC4 includes factory-adjusted DICOM calibration with self-monitoring brightness to maintain a specific luminance that can be set by the user. Its digital uniformity correction technology reduces screen uniformity errors and compensates for differences in color/grayscale and luminance across the screen.
Unlike other large screen LCDs available to the medical professional, the AVC4's multi-directional controls allow for ease of use in either landscape or portrait modes.
The AVC4 comes standard with an industry leading five-year overnight hot-swap warranty.
AlphaView offers a complete line of cost effective medical imaging, diagnostic and surgical displays available exclusively through Quest International.
